The tuition fee for EU citizens is 3,750 euros per year (7,500 euros for the two-year EMTM programme).
The tuition fee for non-EU citizens is 7,000 euros per year (14,000 euros for the two-year EMTM programme).
Scholarships for 2021 Intake
At this moment, the EMTM programme can only offer self-funded positions for the 2021-2023 intake. However, the EMTM Consortium will apply for up to 16 Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) scholarships for this intake. In June or early July 2021, the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission will confirm whether these scholarships have been granted.
If EMTM is granted these EMJMD scholarships, they will be distributed among the students that have applied to the programme, have been selected and have accepted the invitation to enrol as self-funded students. The EMJMD scholarships include the student's participation costs (i.e. tuition fees, full insurance coverage and any other mandatory costs related to the student's participation in the course), a contribution to student travel and installation costs and a subsistence allowance for the entire duration of the EMJMD study programme. The EMJMD scholarships, if available, will be awarded to enrolled students according to their position in the ranking list. Students whose position in the ranking list is not sufficient to be awarded with a scholarship because the number of students enrolled is superior to the number of scholarships available will continue to be enrolled as self-funded students.
If the EMTM programme is not granted the EMJMD scholarships, then the EMTM Consortium will offer:
- One scholarship to one student who is citizen of a country outside the European Union corresponding to the amount of the participation fees for non-EU citizens (i.e. 14.000 EUR).
- One scholarship to one student who is citizen of a European Union country corresponding to the amount of the participation fees for EU citizens (i.e. 7.500 EUR).
These scholarships will be awarded to the first non-EU student and the first EU student in the ranking list. The rest of the students will continue to be enrolled as self-funded students.
The information on the position of each candidate in the ranking list will be communicated to applicants when the selection results are announced between April and May 2021. Thus, applicants will know their position in the ranking list when they are offered a place to enrol in the EMTM programme as self-funded students.
Summary of Expected Dates:
November 2020: Launch of the call for applications.
March 15, 2021: Deadline to apply to the EMTM programme.
