Visiting Professors

One of the main goals of the EMTM programme is to bring knowledge from all over the world into the classroom. Therefore, not only are the students taught by the lecturers from the three host universities in Denmark, Slovenia and Spain, but also visiting scholars from countries such as USA, Australia, England, Germany, Austria, Hong Kong and Indonesia participate in the programme.

EMTM students have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge on the variety of contemporary tourism related issues from guest lecturers, including tourism industry experts, government officials and internationally renowned academics. I have been privileged to teach units in the EMTM Programme at the University of Girona for the past two years (third year forthcoming) and have been highly impressed by the quality of Faculty, both teaching and support staff from Girona and professorial colleagues from other countries such as USA, India and China. The design of the course, with an innovative framework across three European universities, combines cutting-edge theoretical material with international best practice that is truly global in its reach. With cohorts of about 35 students from more than 20 countries in each intake, it is highly effective in preparing future leaders for tourism in a wide range of professional settings.
